A cold day @ Plopsaland – Review

Plopsaland Entrance

The Weather

It was an absolutely freezing day at Plopsaland de Panne, with temperatures dropping well below 6°C. While the cold was certainly a challenge, it didn’t dampen our spirits – we were determined to make the most of our visit and experience as many rides as possible.

The Disappointment

As close as we got to ride to happiness, the fountain outside the entrance.

Unfortunately, the cold weather meant that some of the park’s premier attractions were closed for the day. The two main casualties were:

  • The Ride to Happiness - One of the park’s flagship attractions
  • Anubis the Ride - Another major draw for the park

It was disappointing to miss out on these big-ticket rides, but we understood the safety precautions needed in such harsh conditions.

The Rides We Conquered

Despite the closures, we made a solid day of it! We managed to get on an impressive lineup of attractions:

  1. Hidie the Ride - A fun family-friendly experience
  2. Draconis - A classic powered coaster.
  3. The K3 Rollerskate Rollercoaster - A Junior coaster
  4. #Like Me Rollercoaster - Another Junior Coaster
  5. Bumba’s World Trip - Perfect for families
  6. Super Splash - A Mack Rides water coaster.. We were brave attempting this in the freezing conditions 🥶
  7. Plop’s Wood - A charming dark ride; couldn’t work out why they all had their underpants on their heads 🤣
  8. The Big Wave - A spinning disco style ride.
  9. Vic’s Whirlwind - A fantasic swing ride, it had a lot of force quite suprising :)
  10. The flowery Merry-Go-Round In an indoor area, similar to a really old ride I use to go on as a child “the jets”. With controllable height :)

Overall Verdict

Draconis ride

Despite the cold weather and the closure of some major attractions, we had a fantastic day at Plopsaland. The park’s diverse range of rides meant there was plenty to enjoy, and the smaller crowds due to the weather conditions made for shorter queues. It’s a testament to the park’s well-rounded attractions that we could still have a full and satisfying day. If you’re considering visiting Plopsaland, don’t let a bit of cold weather put you off – there’s still plenty of fun to be had!
